For my graduation present from middle school, my mom took me to the Lancome counter to get a makeover for my eighth grade dance. Ever since then, I've used Lancome makeup. I want to tell you some of the tips the lady at the counter gave me:

1)Less is more! The idea of makeup is not to look like your wearing it, but to make someone think that you look that way naturally.

2) Your eye makeup should be suttle for everyday use - use light earthy tones like off-white and beige. It is best to use two colors of eye shadow, with the lighter shade below the darker shade, covering most of the lid. It's less noticable that way. For fancier occasions, darker or more flamboyant colors are appropriate for the stripe of color above the designated lighter shade, which, in any case, should still be light.

3) If you have bushy eyebrows like mine, it maybe helpful to use a "brow groomer" to keep them neat.

4) After applying concealer, you should reapply powder over the "concealed" area, and that will help it to stay hidden.

5) If you put on foundation or powder makeup, make sure to put on blush so you don't lookm washed out.

6) If you put on lip gloss after you put on your lipstick, don't use too much. Once again, less is more.
