My name is Professor McGonagall. (No, Fred, you cannot call me Minerva. You are to address all teachers by their LAST NAMES!) I am the head of Gryffindor House, and I WILL discipline you just as I would a Slytherin. I strive to be fair to all students so expect no special treatment. Here are some things you need to know.

Gryffindor Tower, entrance on the seventh floor behind a large painting of a Fat Lady (you know which one). If you know the right password (it changes constantly) to tell her, she swings open to reveal a round opening in the wall. The common room is comfortably furnished with al the amenities you will need to socialize study, and you will be doing a lot of the latter. Students are seperated into different dormitories based on gender and seniority. The dormitories are round rooms with windows looking out onto the rest of Hogwarts. This is for those of you who need a reminder:
Girls and boys are seperated for a REASON. I DO NOT want to catch a boy in Girl's Tower again!
GRYFFINDOR QUITTITCH TEAM
Gryffindor takes great pride in its Quittitch team. While on the field, they wear robes of scarlet, so THOSE are the people to cheer for, or else Oliver Wood, the team's captain, will have it out with you, and he isn't one to be messed with.
